Japanese crepes ยท West Anderson Lane
Not a French crepe. A cone you eat walking.
Japanese crepes are lighter than the French kind, rolled into a cone and made for the streets of Harajuku. Ours are made fresh on West Anderson Lane: dessert crepes from $6.99 in the Zen size, savory from $11.25, and we serve the breakfast ones all day.
What makes a Japanese crepe different
A French crepe arrives flat on a plate with a knife and fork. A Japanese crepe is rolled into a cone, wrapped at the base, and handed to you to eat with one hand while you keep walking. The batter is thinner and crisper at the edges, and the fillings are stacked so you get a bit of everything in each bite rather than a fold of one thing.
That is a street-food format, which is where it comes from. Harajuku crepe stands built the whole category around being portable, which is why ours are wrapped the same way rather than plated.
Sweet, savory, and breakfast all day
Dessert crepes come in two sizes, Zen and Super Zen, and the price is printed for both. Nutella Lover, Crepe Brulee, Fresh Fruits, Matcha Truffles, Smore's Calling and Dulce De Leche are $6.99 and $9.99. Chocolate Nut Party, Azuki Berries, Tiramisu and NY Blueberry Cheesecake are $8.99 and $11.99. They lean on custard cream, whipped yogurt and gelato rather than sugar alone.
Savory crepes start at $11.25 and use the same proteins and sauces as our bowls, so a Chicken Teriyaki Crepe is the bowl you know in a different wrapper. The Schoolgirl Crepe is $11.50 and the Shishito Steak Crepe is $12.70.
Breakfast crepes are $11.99 and we do not stop serving them at eleven. The All Day is named for exactly that.
Where to find them
2900 W Anderson Lane, Suite 250, in Crestview, open Monday to Saturday 11:00am to 9:00pm and Sunday from 11:30am. You can order ahead for pickup, which is the right move at lunch.
One honest note: we do not have protein figures printed for the crepes yet, and we would rather leave a blank than estimate one. Every other gram on this site is taken straight off our menu, with a single exception we will own: a large egg is listed at 6 grams, which is the standard figure for one, because our menu currently prints zero and that is plainly a typo.
If you want protein instead, these are the numbers
